Charles A. Dean Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship 2017

Purpose of scholarship is to provide a scholarship to a graduating senior from School Union 60. Preference will be given to those students pursuing a degree in the medical field. Applicants will be assessed on high school GPA, letters of recommendation, and extracurricular activities. Click on link for scholarship instructions and application. SigEp Building Balanced Men Scholarships

Young men planning to attend the University of Maine in Orono may apply for the Sigma Phi Epsilon Building Balanced Men scholarship. there will be 2 - one time awards of $1000 and 4 - one time awards of $400 for first year men attending the University of Maine in the 2017-18 school year. American Legion Cecil R. Cole Post #94 Scholarship

$500. scholarship award - applicant must be from Greenville, Rockwood, Shirley, Beaver Cover or unorganized territories attending Greenville High School. Preference for award will be given to the son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter, sister or brother of a veteran of the US Armed Forces. Must be a high school graduate wishing to further his/her education at a college or technical school and is in need of financial assistance. NAWIC Maine Chapter 276 Scholarship

The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) is awarding scholarship money to high school seniors who have enrolled in a post-secondary program in a construction-related course of study (examples = carpentry, civil engineering, construction management, architecture, welding, heav equipment mechanic or operation, and building, electrical or plumbing technology - just to name a few!). Alpha One Powering Education Scholarship

Scholarship awards 3 - $2000. awards. Applicants must have a documented disability, attend high school in Maine, have a B average GPA, and an acceptance letter from post-secondary institution.

Maine Community Foundation Scholarships

The Maine Community Foundation has a list of over 35 scholarships with a common application for you to complete. The foundation helps hundreds of students with over $2 million of aid annually. Each individual scholarship has its very own unique set of criteria for application eligibility and selection. Many of these scholarships are specific to Piscataquis County and Greenville specifically.

Maine Innkeeper's Association Scholarship

33rd Annual Scholarship program designed to meet the partial needs of a student pursuing a career in the hospitality industry. Scholarship awards will be givne only to those students accepted to fully accredited schools with specialties in hotel administration and culinary sciences.

Hood Milk Sportsmanship Scholarship

Maine Society of Professional Engineers Scholarship

The Maine Society of Engineers will award two scholarships to graduating high school seniors. Click on link to download scholarship application or drop by the Guidance Office to pick up a copy. You will need two teacher recs, official transcript, minimum test scores of ERW = 500, Math = 600, W = 500 (old SAT score).

Mitchell Scholarship

The Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund offers renewable, four year scholarships to students with financial need who display academic achievement, a commitment to serving others, a strong work ethic, grit and passion for overcoming obstacles and/or achieving future goals, and leadership qualities. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Awards range from $3000 to $18,000.

NextGen Scholarship

Sixteen students in the state of Maine will be awarded $1000. scholarships. One student from Piscataquis County is guaranteed to win! The scholarship will be awarded to the winner's NextGen account. If the winner does not have an existing NextGen account, he or she will need to open an account.The minimum initial contribution for the opening of an account will be waived.

Maine Red Sox Service Scholarship

The Maine Red Sox Service Scholarship is an honor awarded by the Red Sox Foundation, the official team charity of the Boston Red Sox. The Red Sox Foundation will award a $1000 scholarship to 25 academically talented Maine public high school seniors who have shown a commitment to community service. This prestigious scholarship award is for students pursuing a two-year or four-year degree at any college, university or trade school. In Spring 2017, sponsored by the Ford Motor Company Fund, the Maine Red Sox Service Scholarships will be awarded to one student at each of 25 selected Maine public high schools - and Greenville High School has been selected for the 2017 award year.

Civil Engineering Scholarship

The Maine Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers is pleased to announce scholarships for outstanding high school seniors who plan a career in civil engineering. They offer an array of scholarships totaling $4000. The recipients will be selected based on: academic performance in high school, participation in extracurricular activities, letters of recommendation, and a statement of interest in civil engineering. The recipients may use the scholarship to defray the cost of their first year of study at the University of his or her choice. Applicants must be Maine residents. Students must show proof of enrollment in a four year ABET accredited Civil Engineering program before the check is issued. Pick up a scholarship application in the Guidance Office.


Boston University Trustee Scholarship

Earn a four-year, full tuition scholarship at Boston University. Trustee Scholars rank at the top of their classes and demonstrate exceptional leadership in their schools and communities. Scholarship recipients are selected b a faculty committee from a competitive pool of applicants. the Trustee
Scholarship covers full undergraduate tuition plus orientation and mandatory undergraduate student fees for four years.


Thomas College Dirigo Award

Let Mrs. Pearsall know if you are interested in attending Thomas College. She can nominate you for the Dirigo Scholarship Award - $2500 a year for up to four years!

Criteria =

  • interest in attending Thomas College
  • GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • Apply to Thomas College before 12/01/2016
  • Show some financial need
  • have attended a Maine high school for at least two years

WACE National CO-OP Scholarship Program

175 Merit Scholarships totaling $4.5 Million. In order to be eligible, you must apply to one of the ten WACE Partner Institutions listed below.
