Congratulations to Alayna McMahon on her 4th place finish yesterday at the Ski teams' race in Fort Kent. Great work Alayna finishing 4th out of 30 racers.

Congratulations to our Middle School Lady Lakers on an outstanding season! They played with heart and fought hard to the final buzzer yesterday! Our team should be very proud of their second place finish in the Penquis League Championship!

Laker fans the middle school girls championship game is available to stream on NFHS.

Absolutely thrilled with our fantastic Fab 5 Spellers! This tight-knit group of 6th graders has been a source of support for one another throughout the preparation for our school bee. Their camaraderie doesn't end there; they continue to uplift each other with friendship beyond the competition and are all looking forward to making the trek down to Bowdoin College in March for the Scripps State Spelling Bee!!

Thank you, Mr. Shaw, the Big Moose Mountain staff, and all the GCS staff and parent volunteers who helped make our first middle school trip to the mountain in 2024 a SMILING SUCCESS. Over 60 students learned and perfected their downhill skiing and snowboarding skills! We are ALL looking forward to the next trips!!

Good luck today Lakers! Play hard and have fun as you try to bring a championship home!

Congratulations to every participant in our 6th Grade Spelling Bee! Your dedication and courage have made us all proud. Special kudos to Maggie Shaw, our School Champion, who will be representing us at the Scripps Maine State Spelling Bee on March 23 at Bowdoin College. A big thank you to our Official Judges, Mr. Lizotte and Mr. Beverly, our Pronouncer, Mrs. Watt, and our Scripps Spelling Bee Club Advisor, Ms. Wentworth! Special gratitude to Mr. Turner for setting up the sound system. Well done, everyone!

Congratulations to our middle school girls basketball team on their victory over PCMS last night to secure a spot on the championship game on Saturday 1/20. Our girls will now take on Stearns in Howland at 11:00 on Saturday 1/20. We would love to pack the gym to support our Lakers!
In order to accommodate players, coaches and fans for this game we have moved our start times for the home varsity games that day to 2:30 and 4:00. The boys will also now play first. This was the best we could do given all schools and officials tight schedules in the last weeks of the season.

Congratulations to our middle school girls basketball team on their semi final victory over Guilford tonight! They will now travel to Howland on Saturday 1/20 to take on Stearns for the championship! Tipoff is at 11:00 am. Come out and support our girls! Go Lakers!

Due to the incoming storm, all after school activities are cancelled for today - Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Thank you.

Don't miss this opportunity to attend the scholarship workshop! There are over 700 scholarships available.

Good evening Laker fans! Update on our middle school basketball season. Unfortunately our boys finished their season outside of the playoff picture and their season has come to and end. I would like to thank Coach Josh Polland and Assistant Adam Parish for their efforts this season. The boys showed remarkable improvement each and every game and they all should be very proud!
Our middle school girls finished in a very close race for the top seeds and ultimately came away with the #3 seed. This means a trip to Guilford on Wednesday 1/17 at 3:30 for a chance to play in the Championship game on Saturday 1/20. Please make the trip to Guilford if you can and support our girls as they make a run at the championship!
This would probably also be a good time to let all fans know that should we make it to the championship game it will be played in Howland on Saturday 1/20 (11:00 am). This is pre-determined prior to the season beginning and is played there regardless of the two teams playing in the big game. Thank you! and GO LAKERS!

Reminder to come out and support our varsity basketball teams tomorrow. Girls start at noon boys follow at 130. Go Lakers!

Good Morning - this is a reminder that school is dismissed at 11:30 today - Friday, January 12. TCTC students have a full day and will return to Greenville at the usual time. Busses will leave campus shortly after 11:30am.

Attention Basketball Fans! Don't forget to come out tomorrow, Friday 1/12 to support our Middle School and Varsity Basketball Teams. All teams host Stearns in a 4 game schedule starting at 3:30 pm with the middle school girls. The sports boosters plan on having a wide variety of food including several crockpot items. Come early and enjoy an evening of GCS Basketball. Go Lakers!

Join us in cheering for our students at GCS' inaugural Scripps Spelling School Bee!

Due to the anticipated adverse weather conditions, we regret to inform you that school is canceled for Wednesday, January 10, 2024. If you need to go out, please exercise caution and prioritize safety.

Sorry Laker fans, yet another schedule change. We do not have officials for our middle school games tomorrow against Bingham. This game has been cancelled and will not be made up. The varsity games scheduled for tomorrow against Bingham ARE STILL ON. They have been moved up to 3:30 (girls ) and 5:00 (boys). Come out and support our varsity teams!

Good Evening Laker Fans! With a storm looming for Wednesday and difficulty finding officials we are trying to get ahead of rescheduling problems and have moved our Varsity games against Bingham from Wednesday to Tuesday. This will give us a 4 game schedule for Tuesday with MS Girls starting it off at 3:00, MS Boys 4:15, Varsity Girls at 5:30 and Varsity Boys at 7:00. Come out and support all 4 teams in an action packed evening!
